Ingredients:
  • TOMATO SAUCE:
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic chopped
  • 6 sprigs parsley
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 #2 1/2 can tomatoes
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp. Pepper
  • 1-1/2 Cups water
  • 1-Pound ground beef
  • Cooking Oil
  • CHEESE SAUCE:
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 3/4 Cup Ramono or Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • NOODLES:
  • 1 pound cooked lasagne noodles.
  • Steps:
  • TOMATO SAUCE: Fry onion, garlic and parsley in oil till onions are lusive. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, bay leave, salt, pepper, water and stir untill mixed well. Break ground beef into small pieces and toss in mixture. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
  • CHEESE SAUCE: Cook Onion in Butter till lusive(minute or two). Mix in flour untill smooth. Add cheese and dash of salt. Slowly stir in milk until thick. Beat yolks slightly and add to hot mixture slowly. Mix all together and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
  • PREPARE: layer in 9 x 13 inch greased pan tomato sauce, noodles, tomato sauce, cheese sauce, placing noodles crosswise 1 layer and lengthwise the next layer untill all noodles and sauce are used up.
  • Bake in 325 degree oven for 20 minutes.
